DV Lottery, DV Lottery 2009 Results

DV lottery which is also called as Green Card lottery is currently not accepting entries from applicants. Next visa lottery DV 2010 is expected to be announced in September 2008 by the State Department.The program is strictly limited to one application per person as primary applicant, if anyone has applied more than one entry all the entries will be rejected without any notice regardless of who submitted them.

The DV Lottery 2009 results, winners who are selected by the computer random draw will be announced between May 2008 to July 2008 by regular postal mail to them individually with further instructions and visa fees. The address given in the entry will be used to announce the winner. Those who are not selected will not be notified. They can apply for the next draw.Those who had received the notifications must follow the instruction as in the mail.Winners who are staying in the USA may apply to the USCIS for adjustment of status to permanent resident.E-Mail, Fax or phone will not be used to announce winners.Winners name list will not be available to the public.American Embassies or Consulates also can't provide the winners list.

DV 2008 Results.

Nearly 82,000 people in 175 nations received the winning notification along with further instruction and were asked to process it as soon as possible.Interview for the issuing of the PR visa was started in October 2007 and will continue till August 2008.No visa will be issued after 30th September 2008.Winners who are eligible to receive the Second letter can expect it till August according to their case number.

Visa Fees.

There is no need to send money by Bank, westernunion or other services to obtain the Permanent residency Visas. Applicant are required to pay the Non- refundable visas fee and the Diversity processing fee at their Embassy only at the time of the interview personally and can obtain the official receipt for the payment.American Government allows 50,000 persons to immigrate in to America legally every year from countries which send less than 50,000 people in the past 5 years. Those countries sent more than this limit is not allowed to participate in this program. The State department will announce which countries can participate and how many numbers will be selected from those countries. The selected winners can bring their spouse and under 21 years old children who are not married, with them to live and work permanently.
